At Wonder Years, our Baby Room provides a safe and comfortable environment for
all the children. To encourage a smooth transition from the child’s home environment
we offer a settling in period for parents and child to ensure both are happy. We make
this experience as easy as possible by following the child’s normal daily routine at
home for feeds, bottles and sleep as much as possible.
We believe play is a central part to the development of the young child and
encourage this by following the four main Aistear principles of Well-being, Identity &
Belonging, Communication and Exploring and Thinking.
All of our play is child led and this room offers lots of opportunity for this with age
appropriate toys both indoors and outdoors. A choice of age appropriate activities
are offered on a daily basis if children wish to partake, such as; colouring, painting,
gluing, playdough, water play and sand play along with other circle time activities such
as songs and rhymes, picture books and words.
We display our children’s artwork for parents to see. Each child also has their own individual learning journal scrapbook which parents are encouraged to look at and are also welcome to bring home to add
your own photos & stories to help us get to know your child better.
We have a separate sleep room for children at sleep time with soothing relaxation
music playing in the background as they sleep
Our Baby Room aims to help your child develop nurturing relationships with both
adults and children in a loving environment while having lots of fun!
